MARIA (MARY) HAWRYSH January 18, 1916 - August 30, 2006 Peacefully, at Misericordia Place on August 30, 2006, Mary left to join her beloved husband Michael. Mary, cherished mom to Eva Klymchuk, Michael (Emily), MaryAnn Giesbrecht (Ken), Nick (Sharon), Ernie (Marilyn), Jane Jacobson (Ingvar); loving Baba to Roy, James, Patricia, Kristina, Greg, Evan, Jeff, Brenda, Trevor, Cherilyn, Leanne, Lynette, Kevin, Ryan and Scott; great-Baba to Harriet, Roberta, Spencer, Laura, Andrew, Paige, Mia, Nicole, Jacqueline, Adam, Matthew, Natasha, Nicolas, Nia, Nathan and Olivia; beloved sister to Eva and Helen. She was predeceased by two sons Stefan and Peter; grandsons Robert and Michael; son-in-law Phil; brothers and sisters, John, Nick, Thomas, Victor, Walter, Tony, Jessie, Lena and Sophie. Mary and Michael were married April 26, 1931 and were one of the settlers farming in the Ledwyn area for over 40 years, retiring to Lockport in 1970. Mary moved to the city following Michael's death in 1979, meeting new neighbours and acquaintances, enjoying her gardening, and knitting afghans for everyone to enjoy. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., (today) Friday, September 1 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating.
