Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE PALEY 1923 - 2006 After a brief illness, fought with great courage and strength, George passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2006, at the age of 82 years, at the Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his loving wife Pauline, and their four children, Bruce, Brenda (Terry), Lorne (Connie), Douglas (Kimberly); his loving grandchildren, Kellie (Niec), Melissa and Lindsay Beer, Ashley, Brayden and Serena Paley and Scott Gable. Numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews will also cherish his memory. George was born in Theodore, SK, on November 15, 1923. He served in the Army during the Second World War, and was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 151. George was employed with Westeel for 38 years. He enjoyed fixing things, especially cars, and he delighted in making toys and doll houses for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working in his yard, making sure it was always tidy and well-kept. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. and Navin Road, with viewing half hour prior to service time. Rev. Fr. Cornell Zubritsky will officiate. Interment following in Green Acres Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB., R3L 0K6, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, MB Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB., R3C 9Z9.
