Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET ANN COPELAND ESSELMONT It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Violet Ann Copeland Esselmont on August 31, 2006 at 91 years of age. Vi was predeceased by her mother Ann; father Robert; brothers, Bert and George and brother-in-law Lorne McIntyre. Vi will be deeply missed by her sister Dorothy McIntyre; nephews, Neil and Glenn (Carla) and great-niece and nephew, Heather and Bryan, also many relatives and friends. Vi's life journey was filled with special people, places and relatives, far and wide. She was employed by the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 37 years, retiring to resume another very active career in volunteer work at the Park Manor Nursing Home and the Manitoba Society of Seniors. Vi resided in Transcona her entire life and was an active member of the Transcona Memorial United Church choir. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and was recently awarded her 60 year pin. Vi loved to do needlepoint, knit and crochet and has supplied many homes, lodges and churches with lasting memories of her talents. She especially enjoyed travelling or relaxing at the cottage in Grand Marais. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 5 at 2:30 p.m. at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, a donation may be made to a charity of one's choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
