JOHN WARGATY Courageously on August 31, 2006 our beloved brother and uncle passed away at the age of 83. John was born in Elphinstone, MB in 1922 to Onofrey and Mary Wargaty. John lived and worked on his family farm that he loved so much. Here he enjoyed boating, fishing, berry picking and working the concession stand by the lake. In 1975 he and his five brothers moved to the Deaf Centre Manitoba in Winnipeg. John made many new friends at D.C.M. but he always looked forward to his annual trip back to the farm. John was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Mike, Dmytro, Nick and Peter and sister Tinnie. John will be lovingly missed by his brother Harry, sister Jessie and many nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers will be held Monday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Pembina Place, 285 Pembina Hwy. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 5 at 9:00 a.m. at Pembina Place. Interment to follow at the Greek Catholic Cemetery, Elphinestone, MB. Our special thanks to the staff at D.C.M., D.C.M. second floor staff and Doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital.
