ARCHIE DAVID PATTERSON It is with deep sadness that we share with you the passing of Archie David Patterson after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at the age of 59 on September 1, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre. Archie was born on January 27, 1947 in Holland, MB and grew up in Cypress River, MB. In 1963 he began his chosen career in funeral service. Janice and Archie raised their two sons, Brad and Steve, in Brandon and Winnipeg. He was always very active in their lives and chosen sports, especially hockey!!! Archie enjoyed the many times out at the lake with family and friends. Later in life, he met Trudy and her three sons; starting a new chapter in his life. Archie was always very proud of his roots, his heritage and his family. Throughout his life, his dedication to all of his endeavours was evident to all who knew him. Archie will always be lovingly remembered by his son Brad; his partner Trudy McMillan and her sons, Mike and Andy. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother Isabel; sister Verna and Osie Lodge and family; brother Keith and Janie and family; brother Neil and his partner Wendy Law. Archie was predeceased by his father Dave in 2006 and his son Steve in 1992. Our heartfelt thanks to our team at the Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare who fought so hard for us and gave us our three weeks and one day at home - you worked a miracle. To the palliative care team on 3 East at Riverview Health Centre - you encompassed us all with your TLC and walked the journey with us and we will be forever grateful. To our family and friends, Thomson on Broadway, and the Alderwoods Group - your circle of love and support gave us strength and the courage to take one day at a time. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of choice. Forever and Always.
