ROSE KINTOP Mrs. Rose Kintop, aged 78, of Selkirk, MB, formerly of Stead, MB dearly beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. Rosina (Rose) Albertine was born in St. Boniface, MB on November 10, 1927 to Martha and Otto Geschke. She was raised in Thalberg, MB and married Dan Kintop in 1948. They farmed in Stead, MB. While life presented challenges in health and well-being to Rose, she was strengthened throughout by her Christian faith and support of family and caregivers. She is survived by her son Dennis (Karen) of Stead, MB; daughters, Dorothy (Dale) Haines of Calgary, AB and Carolyn Kintop of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren, Kelly and Paula Kintop and Danny Haines; sister Emeline Bendera of Winnipeg, MB; and friend Elva Martin of Beausejour, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Dan in 1997; her parents; sisters, Meta Geschke (in infancy), Augusta Otto and Victoria Schnellert; and brother Herman. Heartfelt thanks for the exemplary care and attention given to Rose are extended to the North Eastman Health Association staff, most especially Elva Martin, Mary Wood and Karen Puge; and also, to the staff at the Betel Home and Selkirk and District General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A private service of interment with Rev. Mark Koenker presiding is planned.
