ZONA ASBELL Suddenly after suffering from pneumonia, Zona Asbell passed away on September 3, 2006. She will be deeply missed by her sister Rose Brass of White Rock, BC, and by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services were held September 4 with Rabbi Lawrence Pinsker officiating. Her heartfelt eulogy was delivered by her niece Diane Schachter of White Rock. Diane's eloquent words paid moving tribute to Zona's gifts of generosity, friendship and loving kindness extended to so many. Zona was a gifted pianist. In her younger years she was a top scholar. The family deeply appreciates the superb care given Zona by the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre.
