MARY ANDRUSIAK (ROMANCE) Surrounded by family, our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mary Andrusiak passed away at Concordia Place on September 5, 2006 in her 93rd year. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, her parents Tekla and Peter Romance and her brothers, Alexander and Stephen, also two brothers, William and Michael in infancy. Mary will always be cherished by her two daughters, Joan (Jack) Klips and Elaine (Dan) Trochim; grandchildren, Barbara (Cam) McLeod, Lauren (Blake) Delgaty, Keith Klips, Gary (Darlene) Klips, Leslie (Larry) Wishlow, Jacqueline (Michael) Hryciuk, Carole (Chad) McMillan and Lisa Trochim. Great grandchildren Jessica, Cameron, Morgan, Michael, Michelle, Steven, Alexander, Sidney and Lucas; cousin Mary Chaba; sister-in-law Nell Romance and her family, Andrea (Robert), Ron (Liz) and Greg (Marilyn) and other extended family and friends. Mary was born at her home in Transcona on March 31, 1914, where she lived her entire life. She married Michael on February 14, 1931 and together they raised their two daughters. She lived through many hard times and toiled through the depression days. Mary was kind, gracious, caring, compassionate and a friend to all who knew her. She had a beautiful smile for everyone. She lovingly cared for her parents for many years. Family was most important to her. She was passionate about her cooking and gardening and she was so good at it! Everybody has Granny's cheesecake and meatball recipes! The flowers and plants in her home flourished with her love and care, especially her beautiful orchids. Our family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Concordia Place, Simone, Lisa and Darlene from the Palliative Care Program, Sandy from KCI and all the Home Care staff who cared for our mother when she was in her home, especially Susy, Bonnie and Laura. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. on Friday, September 8 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memoriam may be made to Concordia Place or a charity of one's choice. Vichnaya Pam'yat Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
