CLEMENT RAYMOND WILLIAMS January 23, 1944 - September 3, 2006 Clem passed away suddenly at the age of 62. He is predeceased by his father Donald Williams (1970). Clem is lovingly remembered by his mother Medora Williams; his children, Raymond Clarke (Deena), Claire Campbell-Williams (Shepherd), Caroline Whitelaw (Chris), and Elisabeth Janus (Mark); and his grand-children, Julian, Alyx, Connor, Cameron, and Patrick. He also leaves to cherish his memory siblings, Carol Bryant (Sheridan), Kitch Williams (Ramona), and Patsy Peltier (Joey), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless number of friends. Clem was born in Aruba and raised on the island of Dominica. His younger days were spent working on the family farm and breaking local athletic records. He came to Canada in the early 1960's on a scholarship from the government of Dominica to attend Red River College to study electronics. He can be remembered in Winnipeg as Boom Boom the star cricket player, runner-up Mr. Manitoba, and a great domino player. He was a well known business man and proud father. Clem and his friends, Johnny and Mr. Soda, could be found livening up a party and tearing up the dance floor. He could often be heard spreading his good humour and proudly boasting about his family. Clem was a man of great character and was full of life. He was a man who could walk into a room and light it up. He was a generous friend to all and had an ego larger than life. A memorial service will be held at Young United Church, 222 Furby Street on Tuesday, September 12, at 3:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Colorful attire welcome. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
