JOHN H. (JACK) DELANEY Peacefully with his family by his side on September 4, 2006, John Delaney passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his children, Jo-Ann (Don) Wardrop, Jim (Monica) Delaney and John (Judy) Delaney; grandchildren, Jaelyn (Andrew), Kevin, Lauren and Robyn; sister Ivy Young; brother Peter Delaney, many nieces and nephews, and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his wife Florence in 2003. Dad served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He was past President of the Prince Edward Legion. He retired as Vice-President of Dominion Bronze Limited. Special appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Charleswood Care Centre Unit 1 for their professional and affectionate tending to our father, with a special thank-you to Dr. Smart for his attentive care. A Service of Remembrance in celebration of Jack's life will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.
