JANE (JAN) RUDDY Passed away peacefully on September 5, 2006 in Kenora, ON. Jan was predeceased by her parents, sister and husband Michael. She was a loving mother to Alex (Alice), Keith (Barb) and Maureen (Ron) Fingler and well loved by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a special aunt to Eric and Brenda. Jan was born near Newcastle, England on October 31, 1909 and raised in Yorkshire. She came to Canada in 1954 and settled in Winnipeg in 1958. Jan had a special zest for life and enjoyed the company of others, especially her family and friends at the lake, and numerous friends at her home at Thorvaldson's Care Centre. Her company was cherished and her great spirit will be missed by all. Thanks to the Lake of the Woods Hospital Staff for their wonderful support. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 Winakwa Rd. with Pastor Stacy Moroz officiating In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Winnipeg Harvest at the Church ( tin for the bin ) or a charity of your choice.
