PATRICIA DAWN STEIP (nee MIDDLETON) Beloved Wife of Frank Steip, after a courageous battle against cancer, at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB. On Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the age of 59. Lovingly remembered by daughter Cathy Omeniuk (Dean); son Donnie (Joanne); grandchildren, Caitlin, Derrick and Clinton Omeniuk as well as Hannah Steip; also sister Sandra McKay, mother-in-law Maude Steip and special cousin Donna Martin. Predeceased by parents, Molly and Bill Middleton; father-in-law Donald Steip and brother-in-law Gordon Steip. Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg where she married Frank and proudly raised their children and with great passion enjoyed their grandchildren. Pat was blessed with many friends and always put others first in everything she did. Favourite pastimes were sailing, travelling and playing with her grandchildren. For many years Pat enjoyed working at King Insurance where she loved meeting and serving her friends. The family wishes to extend its sincere heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Concordia Hospital Oncology Clinic as well as the staff on the 3rd floor Palliative Care unit at Riverview Health Centre for their care during the past few months. Visitation will take place Sunday, Sept 10 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, with funeral service to be held Monday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date following cremation. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Pat's memory to Cancer Research/Care, to the Heart Transplant Program, London Health Science Centre in London, ON, or to the charity of your choice.
