LORRAINE LOUISE LANGLOIS (née BEAUMONT) July 15, 1943 - September 7, 2006 Peacefully, surrounded by her immediate family, Lorraine returned to her Maker on September 7, 2006. She leaves to mourn her only sister, brother-in-law and niece, Irene Martin (Claude) and Chantal Martin; two maternal aunts, Eva Allard, Laura McClary (Stan) of St. Charles, Illinois, one maternal uncle Maurice Grandmont and one paternal aunt Rolande Beaumont and many cousins. She was predeceased by her father Laurent Beaumont, June 20, 1970, her mother Berthe Beaumont, July 16, 1996, her grandmother Anna Grandmont, June 30, 1973 as well as many aunts and uncles. Lorraine was the pride and joy of Laurent and Berthe, being their first born. She was also the first granddaughter and niece. Lorraine was married for 35 years. Family was very important to her. She would put others' needs ahead of hers even in her last days. She was a role model for all of her cousins. Lorraine was a true friend. A secret shared with Lorraine remained with her. Special thanks to all of her friends who took the time to visit Lorraine; Vivianne Raiche, Louise Fillion, Evelyn Beaumont, Linda her neighbour Angèle and Raymonde Roy of Québec. Thank you to her cousins, Yvette, Doris, Denise who came to sit with her and keep her company and to all those who visited her in the last two weeks. She greeted everyone with a smile and thank you. Lorraine's working career lasted 26 years for the Province of Manitoba. She first worked in the Department of Mines and Natural Resources and then in Industry, Trade and Tourism. She was a person you could depend on getting the job done right. She trained many new staff on new equipment such as the MagCard and Wang. Lorraine was a person of great Faith. Her Faith helped her accept many different feats during the last 22 years, the last one being cancer. She was an exemplary patient. The family wishes to thank all the doctors who walked the extra mile to care for Lorraine during her last weeks, Dr. G. Balko, Dr. A. DeRocquigny, Dr. A. Todd, Dr. J. Rahman, Dr. Gupta, Dr. J. Arneja and Dr. Mark Taylor as well as CancerCare. Thank you to the nurses and aides of 3B, 6A and 5E at the St. Boniface General Hospital, as well as the home care nurses and aides.
