PAUL ANDREW DAVIDSON A celebration of Paul Andrew Davidson's life was held on Friday, September 1, 2006 in Winnipeg, MB. Paul was born in Winnipeg on June 15, 1973 and passed away at Falcon Lake, MB on August 29, 2006. Left to mourn his passing are his Amma (grandmother) Thorbjorg Davidson of Gimli, MB; his parents, Kenneth Davidson of Vancouver, BC and Barbara Oshanski of Horseshoe Valley, ON, their spouses, Reva Lutsky-Davidson and Harry Oshanski; brothers, Josh, Jared and Tristan Oshanski, Garret Brownstone, Andrew Davidson and sister Sara Davidson. In addition, he will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and special friend Cindy Martin of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Wiglundur Davidson (Afi), and Doris and Tom Venn of Winnipeg. Paul attended Laverendrye, Robert H. Smith, and Grant Park schools in Winnipeg. He was an accomplished artist, musician, athlete, gourmet cook, masseur, and tradesman. We are blessed for his memory and comforted knowing that his last days were spent at Falcon Lake - his favourite and most spiritual home. His legacy will live on in the beautiful work he did at the family cottage. Paul was proud of his Nordic heritage, loyal to his friendships, honoured his family bonds, and was especially gentle to all children and animals. He shared his love of the natural world with anyone willing to experience the wonder. Our families are grateful to Kevin Sweryd of Bardal Funeral Home and the Rev. Susan van Dresser of the First Unitarian Church of Winnipeg for helping us through this difficult time. We wish him Godspeed on his journey to his ancestral Valhalla. Gotha note elskan, yeg ulska theg. (Good night, our dear one, we love you.). In honour of Paul's memory, donations may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Humane Society.
