BETSY SINCLAIR Peacefully and with her family by her side, Betsy Sinclair, beloved Mother, Granny and Auntie, succumbed to the illness Myloid Leukemia (Bone Marrow Cancer), Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Thompson General Hospital, she was 85 years old. Betsy Sinclair was born August 13, 1921 in Pikwitonei, MB where she grew up at home until the age of six, then went to Elkhorn Residential School until the age of 19. One evening at a community dance in Pikwitonei, Betsy met and married Charlie Sinclair who was from Cross Lake, MB. They then resided in Pikwitonei, MB where Charlie worked for CN Railways and Betsy a housewife, raising their 11 children. Betsy was predeceased by her two baby sons who died at birth; her husband Charlie Sinclair; her daughter Eleanor and husband Harvey Brightnose; her son Alvin and wife Jill Sinclair; her grandson Louis Sinclair; her stepsister Annie Crait; her brother Henry Cook and recently her sister-in-law Edith Cook. Betsy was known for her immeasurable love for her children, grandchildren and so forth, generous nature of giving to others, travelling, quilt making, beadwork and sewing, organ playing, raisin biscuits / donut baking, berry picking and her faith in Jesus Christ! Wake services will be held Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10 at the Continental Mission Bible Chapel, 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Wake services will also be held in Pikwitonei, MB, Monday, September 11 *Pending VIA Rail arrival*, Pikwitonei School Gymnasium. Funeral services will follow, Tuesday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In closing the family of Betsy Sinclair would like to take this time to thank all the nursing staff, hospitals aids, Dr. Alan Rich, Ravinder Kambo, Physio/Home Care, KTC, Cross Lake Band, numerous friends and acquaintances for your time, effort and generous support. Special thank you to Ann Becken and Joyce Dick, words can not describe our appreciation. - The Sinclair Family
