ELSIE SAWCHUK We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Elsie Sawchuk on Thursday, September 7, 2006. Elsie leaves to mourn her loving husband of 58 years, Bill; and her children, Debbie and Gordon, and his wife Kay. Her grandchildren Harry and Sophie will miss her love and thoughtfulness. Elsie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Brandon and Lac Du Bonnet. Years of family gatherings in Brandon were always full of laughter and fun. Elsie spent her life in the North End of Winnipeg. She loved cooking, her plants, and her garden which gave her many hours of enjoyment and peace. We are especially thankful to Adele Mandrick, who was a close and loving friend and neighbour for many years. To the caring nurses at Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit who greatly eased Elsie's final hours - thank you. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations in Elsie's name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. would be greatly appreciated. Rest In Peace KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
