LILLIAN JOYCE HARPER (nee LILLIE) January 17, 1928 September 8, 2006 Peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2006, Joyce passed away at St. Boniface Hospital with Gail, Tiffany and Vince by her side. She was predeceased by husband, John Robert; her parents, John Thomas Lillie and Mary Bella (Favel); brothers, Lloyd and Robert; sisters, Blanche Chambers, Mae Ivison, Bernice Ivison and Alberta Spooner. She is survived by daughter, Gail and sons, John Edward (Kathy) and Randal; nine grandchildren, Jason, Todd, Darcy, Vince, Eddie Jr., Michael, Randal Jr., Tiffany and Karla; three great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Olive and Frances Lillie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was born and grew up in Matlock, MB and later moved to Selkirk and lived her remaining years in Winnipeg. As a young woman she enjoyed jigging and the moonlight train rides to Winnipeg Beach; in her later years she enjoyed bingo, reading and spending time with her great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 12 (tonight) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. A funeral service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church in Matlock, on Wednesday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Robinson Spur Cemetery, Matlock, MB. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their generous care. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
