JOSEPH (JOE) MICHAEL KONIAZ Peacefully, on Friday, September 8, 2006, Joe Koniaz, aged 89 years, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret in 2003 and his four sisters, Ann, Mary, Bertha and Caroline. Joe will be sadly missed, loved and remembered by his son Wayne (wife Ruby); daughter Loraine; brother Tony; grandchildren, Martin, Jason, Sumer (James), Joey, Destrey (Rickki); great-grandchildren, Jeanette, Jordan James Jr., Joey and Kaedric; nieces and nephews. Joe was a proud member of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and of the Khartum Temple of the Shrine. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 14 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. with Rev. Scott MacAuley officiating. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for the excellent care he received during his time there.
