SCOTT DEAN MITCHELL It is with deep regret that we announce the accidental death of 23 year old Scott Dean Mitchell on September 10, 2006, at Sandy Beach, AB. He grew up in St. Pierre, MB and moved to Alberta after high school to work in construction and on the pipe line. Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother Trudy; brother Derek (special friend Janelle); father Brent (Lori); step-sisters, Aurlee Jo and Melissa; foster-brothers, Brad, Christian and Roger; grandmother Edna; uncles, Brad and Rick; numerous other uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by grandfather Roy Grier. Scott loved life. He was passionate about it! His energy and presence filled the room when he walked in. His many, many friends from Manitoba to British Columbia knew him as spontaneous, happy, and caring. Scott did not like to see anyone in pain. He would help and support anyone in need, especially his friends. Scott loved his friends motorcycles quads any kind of extreme activity. Viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 14 at 8:00 p.m. at Vita Funeral Homes St. Pierre Chapel , 362 Sabourin St., St. Pierre, MB (433-7906). The funeral service will be Friday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Pierre Bible Fellowship Church, 488 Lavoie Ave, and interment at the St. Pierre Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Durocher, Bob Morrissette, Sam Fraser, Ron Sourette, Troy Pilotte, and Jay Harder. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for your love, help and support. To all of Scott's wonderful friends close to home, and those who travelled many miles to be here You are so loved by Scott and our family! May God Bless you! I did not know the time or hour that God had set to be When angels came and whisked me to a place prepared for me. And there it was the brightest light and on my knees I fell I asked the Lord Is this the place You made for us to dwell? He welcomed me with open arms as a Father greets his son Then I asked Why me, oh Lord? You know I am so young. He turned to me and then He said Your job on earth was done. A purpose new I have for you Your life has just begun. I know right now that your heart aches, but it will not always be. So do not stand at my grave and weep - I am not there I do not sleep. I'm in a thousand winds that blow - I'm in the diamond glints of snow I'm in sunlight on ripened grain - I'm in the gentle autumn's rain When you awake in morning's hush - I'm in the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight - I'm in soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die. (By Rachelle Catellier Annette Bouvier) Arrangements entrusted to VITA FUNERAL HOMES ST PIERRE CHAPEL, St. Pierre, MB.
