JACK ALLEN HUHTALA 1939 - 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Jack, aged 66, at Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Jeannette; sons, Gerald (Crystal) and Michael (Michelle); beloved grandsons, Justin and Connor; sisters, Lona Woods and Diane Handford (Allan); special cousin Wilma Polvi; mother-in-law Stella Koshowski; brother-in-law Martin Koshowski (Darlene), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Jack worked as a systems analyst/ programmer with Sperry Univac, Versatile Manufacturing and most recently with West Can Group. He had a heart of gold and was eager to help anyone at any time with any thing. His gift with all things mechanical was par none, especially on THE TRUCK'. Right up to the end of his time Jack's lifelong spirit and sense of humour helped all those who loved him to be able to share a laugh even during periods of greatest sadness. Due to his love of and devotion to the running joke', we will have many moments in the years to come to remember him with a smile. Our family wishes to thank Dr. J. Jacobs, Dr. P. Harris, the medical support team with Palliative Care, and the wonderful team of doctors, nurses and support workers who took care of Jack during his short stay at Riverview Health Centre. According to Jack's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate his life at a come and go' gathering to be held at Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg on Sunday, September 24, 2006 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg; Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg; or a charity of one's choice. We love you Jack.
