JOHN STUTSKY June 22, 1924 - September 13, 2006 Peacefully on September 13, 2006 at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, John, our beloved brother and uncle, passed away. The oldest of a family of four, he is survived by his siblings, Bill (Elsie), Peggy (Adam) Kibsey and sister-in-law Marlene (nee Johnson). As well as eight nieces, two nephews, nine great-nieces, six great-nephews, three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, two aunts, Rose Pakaluk and Helen Borgford and many cousins, also his precious pet cat Buddy. Predeceased by his parents, Tom in 1988, Teenie (Pemkowski) in 1957 and brother Charlie in 2005 and one niece Sharon in 1955. John was born in Winnipeg Beach on June 22, 1924 and lived there and in Selkirk until 1970 when he moved to Bethania Personal Care Home where he had the best of care from the loving and caring staff. A special thank you to all who gave John such wonderful care and attention and for the visitors and volunteers (you know who you are) who went out of their way to do things for him, as well as the many special gifts that pleased him so much. Due to Cerebral Palsy, there were many things John was unable to do, despite that, he had a wonderful sense of humour. Always a great big smile and a hearty laugh that we all enjoyed tremendously. He particularly loved his fishing trips to Lockport, visits to Oak Hammock Marsh, trips to the Old Car Museum, going out for lunches and group shopping sprees. A celebration of John's life will be held Wednesday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m. at Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia, with Gerhard Friesen officiating. There will be a private family interment at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent in John's memory to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7.
