She left her home and family in Camp Shilo, Manitoba at an early age to pursue a lifelong journey of caring for people. Bess began her career at the Shriner's Hospital and then went on to the Misericordia Hospital until she met and married the love of her life, Wilfred. Bess devoted her entire life to the caring of her husband, her children, grandchildren and any family member who was ill or needed help. She will always be remembered for the kind way she had with all her siblings whenever she went to their homes to care for them. Bess had such a special relationship with many of her nieces and nephews that her example of love will forever live in their hearts and lives, long after her passing.
