Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA HNATIW (nee JANZEN/WIELER) With wonderful memories and warmest thoughts, we announce the death of Anna Hnatiw on September 12, 2006 after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 87. Anna will be missed by her brother Bill Janzen; her daughter Shirley Shum (Les); her son Raymond Wieler (Lorraine); grandchildren, Holly, Ryan, Michelle, Jayson, and Charisse; great-grandson Bret; and numerous nephews and nieces. She will also be missed by Jack Hnatiw's family of British Columbia, sons, Jim (Elizabeth) and Daniel (Robin); and daughter Bonnie (Gabriel) and their children. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2001; and John Wieler (1981); her brother Frank; and sister Agatha. Anna was born June 12, 1919 in Rhineland, MB and married John Wieler in 1943. They spent most of their life farming at various locations in southern Manitoba, lastly at Libau where they lived until they retired to Selkirk in 1981. John died shortly thereafter. Seven years later, after visiting family in British Columbia often, Anna met and married Jack Hnatiw of Chilliwack, BC in 1988. They spent 15 happy years together enjoying each other, their families, gardening, and travelling. After Jack's death in 2003, Anna returned to her roots in Manitoba to be closer to her family. Anna was well known for her kindness, her positive attitude about everything and her genuine love of all people. She loved music and dancing in her healthier years. She will be remembered by all for her love for her God Jehovah and her zeal for witnessing about Him. She enjoyed sharing the Bible's message of the time in the near future when death will be no more (Rev. 21:4). Special thanks to the Health Sciences Hospital surgeons and medical staff for their kindness and compassion. There will be a private family burial. All are welcome to a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Centre, 227 Lakewood Blvd., St. Vital. Officiating will be Mr. Terry Acker. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
