Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERA MURRAY After a long battle with Alzheimer's, we announce the passing of Vera Murray at Dinsdale Personal Care Home, Brandon, on Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Vera was born in Ryerson, SK on June 5, 1920. She met and married James Murray in 1940. From this union, they had three children, Donna, Jim and Bonnie. They farmed at Elkhorn until 1951 when they moved to Brandon. Mum's greatest moments were when there was a house full of people, friends, the kids and their friends. Vera was a great Mum, wonderful wife and, when her house was full of people, music playing, she was a super doll and person. Vera was predeceased by her husband Jim; parents James and Margaret Renwick; in-laws John and Martha Murray; brothers George and Tom Renwick; sisters-in-law Lilly Renwick and Mona Murray; brothers-in-law Jack Murray and Holly Berry and son-in-law Richard Harris. Surviving are Donna Smalley (Alan), Jim Murray (Marlene) and Bonnie Simmonds (John); grandchildren, Kevin Harris (Michelle), Cindy Bender (Craig) and James R. Murray; great- grandchildren, Olivia and Isabelle Harris and special cousin Aileen Smalley who lived with Mum and Dad for 13 years. Also surviving is Vera's sister Mary Hill (Elmer); sisters-in-law, Margarete Renwick and Helen Murray; brother-in-law Norman Murray (Della) and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery on Thursday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Wilson Perrin officiating. The Murray family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Dinsdale Personal Care Home for the care and compassion they shared with our mother over the extended period she resided there.
