JOHN STEITZER It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Steitzer of 86 years, at the Concordia Hospital on the 15th of September, with his loving wife Norma of 56 years at his side. John was predeceased by his parents, Simon and Elizabeth Steitzer, two brothers Gordon and George. John was born in Winnipeg on September 27th 1919. He served his country for five in the Army. He fulfilled his passion for mechanics by opening two service stations in Winnipeg. He loved all sports, fishing, hunting, golf, hockey and curling. He enjoyed many years at the lake at Lee River and spent many winters in Florida, Arizona, Texas, California and Victoria. At his request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, entrance on Aubrey Street, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006.
