KATHLEEN (KATHY) SPACK (SAINT)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KATHY) SPACK (nee SAINT) Passed away on September 16th, 2006 at the Brandon General Hospital. She has completed her life journey of commitment, achievement, and most importantly loving contribution to her family. At her side were her beloved husband Mike, daughter Sue (Doug), son James, and daughter Cathy and granddaughter, Chelsea. Kathy was a war bride born November 20th, 1924 in Nantwich, Cheshire, England, the only child of Pop and Nannie Saint. Kathy and Mike's wedding took place at the beautiful centuries old St. Mary's Church in Nantwich on April 10th, 1945, followed by a four day honeymoon in the beautiful district Woolacombe, Devonshire. Mike returned to Canada in July, 1945 with Kath following in March 1946, creating a most happy reunion that lasted for 61 years. She is survived by her dear husband Mike, three children, Sue (Doug) Scott of Regina, James of West Vancouver, and Cathy of Winnipeg, and five grandchildren Kelly, Ainsley, Chelsea, Kristen, and Sydney. She is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-laws Nellie Balayewich of Vancouver and Margaret (John) Eagle of Edmonton, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. Nightly prayers guided her each day and evening. Kathy contributed much of herself as a Christian leader of the C.G.I.T. program at both John Black United Church in Winnipeg and Knox United Church in Brandon. Memorial services will be held at Knox United Church, Brandon, at the corner of 18th and Victoria, with Rev. Harvey Hurren presiding, on Tuesday, September 19th, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. followed by a church reception. Funeral services and an Ash Ceremony will be held at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, (204-925-1120), with Rev. David Eagle presiding, on Friday, September 22nd, 2006 at 10:00AM with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
