JOSEPH LORTEAU It is with sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lorteau with his wife at his side on Friday Sept 15, 2006, at the Bethesda Hospital, at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Madeleine (Grimard-Poiron) her 6 children, their spouses and families; brothers; Jean (Léonie), and Roger (Noëlla) sisters; Juliette Fox, Eva (Maurice) Soucy and Marie (Paul) Barthelette, numerous nephews and nieces and extended families. He was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Alvina; one sister, Bernice Anderson, three brothers, Edmond, Arthur and Robert, his first wife Armande (née Mondor); brother-in-law Léo Fox; sister-in-law Irène (née Gagnon). Prayers will be said on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Steinbach Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Alexander Church in Woodridge, Manitoba with viewing half an hour prior to the service and Monsignor Albert Fréchette officiating. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery in Woodridge. Reception will follow at the Woodridge Hall. Pallbearers will be his nephews and niece.
