Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES (EILEEN) MOORE Eileen went to be with her Lord and Saviour on September 16, 2006 at her home at Central Park Lodge at 90 years of age. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, John and Jean Moore; sister Edith; brother-in-law Ed DeGroot and sister-in-law Merle Moore. She is survived by sister Doris DeGroot of Lethbridge and brothers Wes (Edith) of Winnipeg, Ken of Maryfield, SK and Vernon (Margaret) of Calgary, AB. She is fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Eileen was born on July 15, 1916. She grew up on the farm at Ryerson in southeast Saskatchewan, obtaining her formal education at Plainville School and through correspondence courses. At the age of 21, Eileen moved to Winnipeg. She worked at a variety of jobs until 1941 when she obtained a job at McDonald Aircraft. Working by day and taking secretarial courses at night lead to a very successful and fulfilling 40 year career with Bristol Aerospace. Eileen's dedication and determination, along with her knowledge of complicated procedures placed her in roles where she was depended on for her guidance and expert advice. Eileen led a very active life in her church and community. She was a member of Bethesda Church, her choir, the Big Sister organization, Christian Women's Club and curling clubs. She became a world traveler. She enjoyed attending Travelogue Night in Winnipeg and she and her sister Edith would host personal world tours in their Portage Avenue home. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A celebration service of Eileen's life will be held on Wednesday September 20, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Bethesda Church, 1350 Grant Avenue with Pastor Ehlers officiating. A reception will follow at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethesda Church, 1350 Grant Avenue, R3M 2A7 or to the Gideons.
