With deep sorrow the Leclerc family announces the passing of Eva, our dear mother, memère, grand-memère, aunt, sister and friend. She was born to eternal life surrounded by her family at the Victoria Hospital at 10:54 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2006. She has rejoined her creator, parents Albini and Florine (Malo) Morin and beloved husband of almost 65 years, Adrien, her brothers Robert and Eusèbe, son-in-law Sim Soucy, many relatives and friends. Eva leaves to mourn her passing Lucille Soucy, Alice (Jean) Gagnon, Jacqueline (Dan) Lagassé, Henriette (David) Milette, Rita (Dan) Ritchot, Jacques (Sherie), Diane (Ernie) Neufeld, Gilbert (Denise), Arthur (Suzanne), Gérald (Muriel), Paul, Michelle (Neal) Hastings, Suzanne (Nolan) Einarson; 35 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Victor (Fernande) Marie (Emilien/Ti-Noir), René (Helen), Alice, Lévis (Corinne), Germaine (Laurent), Henri (Donalda), Albina, Raymond (Linda), Maurice, Iréne (Raymond); sister-in-law Madeleine and special niece Gaby Lemieux. Mom lived a long fruitful life filled with much love, hardships, challenges and supported a large extended family and lifelong friends. Eva was a very devoted, generous, loving, considerate, self-effacing wife and mother of 13 children, 35 grandchildren, 26 great-grand-children and two foster children. Her home was always a gathering place. Sunday soup was a weekly ritual enjoyed by family members of all generations and including, on occasion friends and even strangers. Everyone was welcomed with open arms. Singing, card playing and conversations were part of every family gathering. Her age related aches and pains seemed to disappear whenever anyone dropped by. Her quiet strength is an inspiration to all those who love her. Mom was a resident of Bon Séjour Senior Residence and spoke fondly of the many new friendships developed over the last year and the re-kindling of old friendships especially her life-long friend Bert Lagassé. She was looking forward to moving back on Main St. in St. Adolphe by expressing her desire to make her new home in the St. Adolphe Nursing Home upon her release from the hospital. The family would like to thank Dr. Prenovault, the wonderful home care staff and the personnel of Unit 4 North at the Victoria Hospital for their excellent care, Pauline Lagassé (F.D.L.C.), the Choir and Father Gérald Michaud for their devotion towards Mom and the family. Prayers will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22 at the St. Adolphe Catholic Church followed by funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. celebrated by Father Gérald Michaud. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Renovation Fund of the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church. ADIEU MAMAN, MEMERE, GRAND-MEMERE EVA GARDE NOUS UNE PLACE WE LOVE YOU!!! LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
