DOROTHY MARION SHIELDS August 15, 1921 - September 19, 2006 Marion had her 85th birthday in August, then quietly passed away on September 19, 2006. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill; and is survived and mourned by her five children, Doug, Susan, Barb, Bill and Kate. Marion lived her whole life in Winnipeg and was a true Winnipegger. She enjoyed the cultural events on those cold January nights, was a strong supporter of her church, and always had time to help others in her community. She was very proud of her children - the major accomplishment and love of her life. She will be sadly missed by her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and all those who knew Marion for the wonderful person she was. The family wishes to thank the staff at Unit CD, Riverview Health Centre for the loving care Marion received in the last few years of her life. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Grant Avenue at Elm Street.
