DOROTHY ROSS Our family sadly announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Aunt Dot on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the age of 97. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Billy Ross; brother Jack (Mary); sisters, Rhoda, Helen and Grayce (Gordon); nephews, Jack (sons, Gary and David) and Charlie. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Marlene (Brian, Suzanne, Leanne and families), Fred and Laura (Jim, Kelly, Leah and families), Carol and Albert (Bart, Orville, Lorne and families), Enid and Stu (Pam and family, Nicole and Ryan), Lynne and Bob (Rob and Kerry). She spent many happy years growing up in the Eriksdale area. After moving to Winnipeg, she worked in the Eaton's mail order until retirement. Throughout her life, Dot was a caregiver to many in her family. Although she had no children of her own, she was like a mother and grandmother to Lynne, Rob and Kerry. Dorothy loved football and was the Bombers #1 fan, having had season tickets forever. She also loved going back to the farm for fishing, gardening and helping out where ever she was needed. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place, and there will be a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler on Friday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cliff McMillan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
