He was predeceased by his father, John and father-in-law Steve. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Donna and his precious daughters, Lauren, Kaitlin, Victoria and the royal family pet, Dutchess. Also mourning his loss are his mother Carole (George); mother-in-law Rose; sisters, Sandra (Barry), Linda (Gary); brother-in-law Doug (Arlene), sister-in-law Dianne (Michael); nephew Kyle and nieces, Courtney and Angela, as well as many friends and relatives. Harold was born in Winnipeg July 2, 1957 to John and Carole Maygard. Hal grew up in Elmwood and attended Sir Sam Steele and Elmwood High School, graduating in 1975. Following in his Dad's footsteps, he spent many spring and fall mornings hunting and fishing. In 1985, he married Donna and they raised three beautiful daughters together. Harold's love for his family was strong and deep. He had a passion for everything his girls were involved in, from soccer and dance, to school homework and art projects. His family meant everything to him. Harold was a skilled carpenter and construction supervisor. He had a successful career in the construction industry and was highly respected by all. His last 15 years have been spent as a superintendent for Pre-Con Builders. Harold was always ready to give a helping hand to family and friends. His skills were put to good use in the homes and yards of many that knew him. Harold lived life to the fullest, enjoying many nights on the Red and the Assiniboine on his beloved Hals Gals . Harold worked hard and played hard, and we loved him for it. Contributions in remembrance may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
