He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Adelina; brothers, Fred, Alcide, Edward, Thomas, Ulysse and sister Alice. He will also be missed by numerous nephews and nieces and members of his wife's family. Victor was born in 1930 in his mother's bed in a farm house in LaSalle, Manitoba. When he got a little older he became very curious about how things worked and started fixing things around the farm when they broke. This is where his mechanical training all started. He started a courtship and married one of the neighbour's daughter Sylvia Winters. He enjoyed a successful career with Air Canada, which took him to Montreal for a 16 year adventure where they raised their seven children. He retired in 1990 from Air Canada as Inspection Foreman at the Winnipeg Maintenance base. Victor and Sylvia enjoyed the next 15 years of retirement traveling in their RV with good friends, and spending time with their ever growing family. Victor dearly loved his wife and family and was always concerned with their well being, he was a devoted and active member of Blessed John XX111, the Knights of Columbus and the Redboine Good Sam RV Chapter. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 23 at Blessed John XXIII Parish, 3390 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Victor will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. following the service, with a reception to follow at Blessed John XXIII. Donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6, or Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I greatly respected him. He did not say much when I blew up the family vw beetle.I asked him what was wrong with the motor. He said "cylinder". I quickly left the scene. This was back in the seventies. I helped move the family. Mr. Hogue had borrowed an old Ford p.u. He offered me a beer on ring road, I guess things were alright with him and I. - Posted by: Vincent M. LeGoff (I use to know the family.) on: Mar 27, 2012
