Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE MANUSOW Surrounded by her family, Florence Manusow (nee Wolovick), aged 84, passed away on June 20, 2006, after a very brief illness. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Merle (Phillip) Greene; son David Manusow; grandchildren Rebecca Greene (Brian Freeman), Joshua Manusow and Amy Manusow; sister Ettie (Ruben) Cohen and brother Mayer (Sarah) Wolovick. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond (Meech) Manusow in 1999, daughter-in-law Nancy Manusow (2003) and sister Jen Sommers (2006). Although we mourn our mother and grandmother's passing, we also celebrate the long and full life she lived. Florence was born in Winnipeg on February 16, 1922, the second of four children of Beryl and Becky Wolovick. A proud, lifelong resident of Winnipeg's north end, her formative years were spent on Selkirk Avenue. She met the love of her life Meech when she was a girl of 16. They later married and enjoyed 55 wonderful years together until his passing. She was known for her common sense and wisdom, her positive outlook, her smiles and laughter, and most of all, her love for her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and was always there for them. Florence touched the lives of many people. She enjoyed the same lifelong circle of friends since childhood, bringing comfort and joy to them in later years when she visited at the Sharon Home and area hospitals. Although we will deeply miss her loving presence, her memory will always have a treasured place in our hearts. Funeral services were held on June 21, 2006 at the Chesed Shel Emes, officiated by Rabbi L. Pinsker, with interment at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Joshua Manusow, Brian Freeman, Mayer Wolovick, Stuart Niznick, David Borzykowski, Sean Udow, Zack Stein and Hannon Bell. Honourary pallbearers were Phillip Greene, Norman Litvak, Charlie Frankelson, Harry Minuk, Ruben Cohen and Neil Cohen.
