(Sandy) Anderson, formerly of Winnipeg, passed away in Kelowna, B.C. on September 22, 2006 at the age of 94 years. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife and best friend Ruby in Kelowna; daughters Jeannie (Don Bates) of Winnipeg, Janice (Dempsey Callison) of Smithers, B.C.; sons Andy (Helen) of Saskatoon and Ken (Libby) of Haines Junction, YT. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister Edith Guest in Kelowna. Alex moved to Winnipeg in 1959 to fill the position of Executive Director of the Manitoba Association of School Trustees. After retirement, he served part time as a Labour Info Officer for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Always a life long learner, he continued to enjoy golfing, his daily crossword puzzles, his computer, winters in Texas, and a move to Kelowna in 1992. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held in Kelowna to celebrate his long life.
