DORIS VIVIAN (DOLLY) SCHAFER (nee MORRIS) December 25, 1918 - September 20, 2006 Peacefully, with family at her side, Doris Schafer passed away at the Victoria General Hospital on September 20, 2006. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Gail (Wally) Ginter, Elaine (Melvin) Orr, Doreen Schafer; son Gary; grandchildren Sean (Rose), Darren (Lilith), Dean (Patti) and Mel; great-grandchildren Liam, Ethan, Duran, William and Sean; sister-in-law Elsie Schafer; cousin May Wright and many nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunty Dolly. She will be deeply missed by all. Mom was the centre of strength of our family - a determined and feisty woman who held us together through many hard times. She leaves a legacy of deep love and loyalty for her family. Cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
