PEGGY MAY MCPHERSON (POWER) February 28, 1913 - September 20, 2006 Peacefully on September 20, 2006, with her family by her side, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at Grace Hospital. Peggy was predeceased by the love of her life, Duncan, her parents, sister Jerry Pope, brother John Mackie and son-in-law Herb Cooper. She is survived by her loving family, Arlene Tribble (John) of Brazil, Indiana, Donna Cooper of Winnipeg and son Bill (Louella) of Ashern; grandchildren, Mark Tribble (Pam) of Galena, Ohio, Peggy Glassco of Winnipeg, Brad Tribble (Heather) of West Lafayette, Indiana, Debbie Barnes (George) of Winnipeg, Kent McPherson (Shannon) of Winnipeg, Andrew McPherson (Jody) of Ashern. Peggy is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jennifer, Sean and Jeff Tribble, Jackie and Jeremy Glassco, Timmy, Zachary and Natalie Tribble, Michael and Amanda Barnes and Kalder McPherson and several nephews. Peggy's life was devoted to her family. All her little ones remember her rendition of the Teeny Tiny Woman'. Her version took half an hour to recite. Mom had two remedies to cure all ailments - Buckley's (yuk) and Vicks, not used just for colds either. Mom was a Charter Member of the Easter Star Chapter, No. 25 since October 9, 1931 and was also a member of the Sons of Scotland. The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Frame for her wonderful care over the years and the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital for their compassionate care. At Mom's request no funeral will be held and a family interment will take place at a later date at Chapel Lawn. Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a compassionate and caring woman who always had time for everyone. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Peggy's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice. Irish Blessing. May the road - rise up to meet you, May the wind - be always at your back, May the sun - shine warm upon your face, The rains fall - soft upon your fields and Until we meet again - May God hold you - In the palm of His hand.
