FLORENCE (CIS) MAY WIEB (nee EARL) Peacefully, on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 2:10 a.m., at the age of 104, with family by her side; Florence (Cis) Wieb was called home. Remaining to forever cherish Mom's memory are her four children and their spouses, Daniel (Dorothy), George (Joyce), Pat (Ken) and Lillian (Lionel); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel in April 1971, and son-in-law Richard in March of 1996. Mother led a wonderful, blessed life. She was born in Middlesex, England, and came to live in Canada at the age of eight with her parents, two brothers, and a sister (all deceased). Florence touched all with whom she came in contact. Her Credo was the three P's Positiveness , Persistence , and Patience . She loved to knit, crochet, read, sing, and story-tell, and took great satisfaction in everything she accomplished. She was truly an inspiration, loved and lived her life to the fullest. Florence was very well travelled, and accompanied her family on various vacations. She spent many summers with her daughter, Pat and family in Belair. Florence spent her last 14 years living in Transcona, and has resided at the Park Manor Personal Care Home for the past 5 years, where she has made an abundance of friends, and received the best possible care. We cannot express enough gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Park Manor. They have truly made mother's last few years a joy. A Celebration of Mom's life will be held on Monday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m., in the Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda St. In lieu of flowers, donations to Park Manor Personal Care Home would be greatly appreciated.
