EDWARD (ED) B. REMPEL Peacefully, after a battle with lymphoma, on September 19, 2006 Ed Rempel passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach at the age of 69. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Agatha; children, Suzanna (David Libby), Bill (Lisa), Nettie (fiance Thomas Ong), Mathilda (Werni Kauenhowen). He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Betty (Henry Brandt). Ed was born on May 9, 1937 in Rosenort, MB and spent many years with this family in Kola, MB and Steinbach, MB. He loved playing his guitar and autoharp and making wooden toys for his family. He was also very involved with his church. He played his music in church and sang in the choir. He was a wonderful, patient, father who always put his family first. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Mennonite Church with interment at Heritage Cemetery. The family thanks Dr. Reimer, the nurses and staff at Bethesda Hospital for their care and compassion. To praise Him in power. To praise God with a trumpet and harp. It encourages everything that hath breath to praise the Lord.
