HILDA TOM February 28, 1921 - September 21, 2006 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hilda Tom. With family at her side, Hilda passed away at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit at the age of 85 years following a long, brave battle with cancer. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Edmund in March 1984. She is survived by her 12 children, Rose (Don), Elsie (Linden), Wesley (Nadine), Shirley (Gerald), Marilyn (Doug), Ed (Annabelle), Esther (Herman), Fred, Dennis (Joanne), Jerry (Christine), Darlene (Bob) and Arnold; and half-sister Marge. Hilda had 37 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Our deepest thanks and appreciation to Home Care workers Debra and Lynn, and to the staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care they provided. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 26 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery where Hilda will be buried next to her husband of 42 years.
