IRMA KOPP After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Irma Kopp on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the age of 78 years with members of her family by her side. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband George Kopp with whom she shared a special relationship for 59 years; her sons, Marvin (Karen), Douglas (Patricia) and James (Milka); grandchildren, Darren, Amanda, Jeremiah and Kathleen; sister Ella Cook (Art); brothers, Albert (Caroline) and Reinhold Miller; sister-in-law Irene Kopp; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Irma was born August 11, 1928 in Rainy River, ON into the family of Elsa and Gustave Miller. In 1947, she married George Kopp in Moosehorn, MB. Our mother always carried herself and met her challenges with dignity, grace, strength and a spiritual direction. Her greatest joy was the company of family and friends. Mom was an absolutely wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a special place in her heart and a strong devotion to her grandchildren. Mom's funeral service and celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of The Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, MB with Pastor Dr. Frank Bahr officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Our family wishes to express the deepest gratitude for the compassion and medical care our mother received from the many wonderful support workers, nurses and doctors who took care of her during her stay at the Riverview and Grace Pallative Care Centre's.
