FRANCES HUMPHREYS (nee CLAWSON) Peacefully on September 20, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 84, Fran, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away. Fran will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her husband and best friend of 64 years, William (Bill), her four children Jim (Bev), Barb (Maurice), Ted (Bev), and Dale (Diana), her grandchildren Brad (Laurie), Don, Keri (Mike), Kirsten, Josh, Melissa, Michael, and Sandy, and great-grandchildren Haley, and Faith. Born May 21, 1922 in Winnipeg, married in October, 1941, Fran was dedicated to raising her family. Mom was very proud of her children and grandchildren and had a special relationship with each one of them. She spent countless hours working at the Isaac Brock Community Club, Chalmers United Church, and the Appleton Estates Seniors Club. Her favourite times were spent with friends and family in the many years at the cottage at Brereton Lake. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of CancerCare Manitoba.
