POLLIE FEDCHESEN It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dear sister and aunt, Pollie, on September 21, 2006 at Concordia Hospital. She was 85 years of age. Pollie was predeceased by her parents Michael and Marie; sisters, Anne, Helen, Eugenie, Sofia; nephews, Frankie, Murray, Richard and John; nieces, Helen and Lillian. She is survived by her sister Olga and many nieces and nephews. Pollie was born in Poplar Point, MB in June of 1921. At the age of 14 she moved with her family to Winnipeg where she attended school until Grade 9, after which she began working as an aide to various families. In 1940 she relocated with her sister to Toronto, returning to Winnipeg in 1952. Upon her return she began what would become her lifelong career as a seamstress. Pollie worked for many companies in Winnipeg's Garment district. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, embroidery and knitting. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the paramedics, nurses and doctors for their care and compassion throughout Pollie's time with them. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 10:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow.
