CPL. KEITH MORLEY September 23, 1975 – September 18, 2006 Taken from us suddenly while in service to his country with A Coy 2 PPCLI. Keith’s untimely passing will be mourned, yet he will be lovingly and proudly remembered by his mother Della and fiancée Fred Duna; sister and best friend Shannon and fiancée Preston Cole-McCaffrey; grandmother Eileen Johnson; aunts Joy and husband Errol Kring of Barto, PA, Edie Shields, Karen and husband Ralph Chelswick of Squamish, BC, Janis and husband Ed Preston; and uncle Brent Johnson and wife Donna of Dryden, ON. Keith’s death will also leave a void in the lives of his cousins, Denise Bendor-Samuel and husband Andrew, sons, Cooper and Crawford, Kirk Chelswick, Trevor Chelswick and wife Brenda, daughters, Kailey and Teagan, Tommy Johnson and partner Amie and Tracy Johnson. Keith was predeceased by his father Russ in January of 2003. Beside his father, Keith gained a heartfelt appreciation for the outdoors; learned to fish, hike, barbecue, do woodwork and he inherited Russ’s love of books. These influences and his love of family formed Keith’s character as a hard-working, loyal, determined and persistent man whose greatest quality was an unerring self-awareness. On meeting Keith one was struck by his stoic charm and absence of pretension – he was a kind, thoughtful and genuine man who valued friendship greatly. He did not seek attention, but preferred relating to people individually and in close settings. These attributes served him well in his calling with Canada’s armed forces. Keith will be deeply missed by his family, friends and comrades in arms. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to A Coy 2 PPCLI and members of the services who were so helpful and understanding in arranging to bring Keith home and honour his sacrifice; we are all family in these circumstances. Special thanks to Lt. Cameron Scott for his unstinting attention. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave, Wpg., MB R3E 0V9. funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Padre Wilson officiating.
