YVONNE RUTH PAUL (nee GASPARD) Yvonne passed away peacefully on September 25, 2006 at the Grace Hospital. She is predeceased by her husband Harry C. Paul and is survived by daughters, Virginia Cordrey and Marilyn Zayshley (Darrell) and sons Theo Paul (Cecilia) and Timothy Paul (Cindy); grandchildren, Christienne Cordrey and Damien Cordrey, Sandy and Tim Paul, Brett and Erik Zayshley and three little great-grandsons, Bruce, Simon and Gavin Lumsden. She is also survived by siblings Fred Gaspard, Marguerite Gaspard, Edith Cherniack and Rita Richcreek. Yvonne was an amazingly gifted woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always gentle and kind, quietly there if we needed her. As a mother/homemaker she was the best. Her family was the most important thing to her. Mom's hands worked magic whether she was sewing church Albs for her father, embroidering little smock dresses, knitting some exotic yarn for Ram Wools, working in her pottery studio or cooking. From her fabulous and deeply mysterious recipe box she was forever pulling new ideas to try out on her family and at her wonderful dinner parties. Yvonne loved to travel and took many trips with her family and friends. She embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Over the years Mom spent countless hours volunteering for the Villa Rosa, Grace Hospital, Charleswood Care Center, St. Charles Parish and Blessed John XXIII. She made so many dear friends through all her associations. Recently she started computer lessons and was practicing diligently everyday. She was known as Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (grandma sounded too old to her). Mimi kept her fridge and cookie jar full of their favorite treats. There was no lack of enthusiasm for a visit to Mimi's house. We her children and family feel a great loss, but we celebrate her life and thank God for the many wonderful years that she was with us. Prayers will be held on Friday evening, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30 at 10:30 a.m., also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Terry McGrath presiding. Entombment will follow in the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. We are grateful to the staff at Grace Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Mom and our family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mom's favorite charity FAMILIES for CHILDREN , FFC, Sandra Simpson, 111 Roseheath Avenue, Toronto, ON M4C 3P6. http://www.familiesforchildren.ca/ Sponsor.html Yvonne's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897- 4665
