Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE EDGAR LOWER George passed away on September 25, 2006 at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Leaving to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Brenda Eirikson and Darlene Schlamp (Bob); four loving grandchildren, Jill, Jesse, Brendan and Becky; five sisters-in-law, Lil Lower, Mabel Fingland (Clarence), Lauraine Ganton, Gloria McLeod and Jean McLeod. George was predeceased by Mary, his wife of 57 years; his parents, father and mother-in-law, three brothers, Bill, Bert and Reg; three sisters, Grace, Doris and Mildred and a precious granddaughter, Ingrid. George was born in Newton, MB. In 1940 he served overseas during the Second World War. On his return home he married his best friend Mary. He was employed with Manitoba Hydro until 1967 when he and his family made their home in Lundar, MB. There he worked in the General Store, and also drove their truck on business trips. George was a member of Legion #1 in Winnipeg and Legion #185 in Lundar, acting as president for a number of years. He was active in the Bingo. He loved all sports, especially curling and golf, both of which he participated in for several years. In 1989 George and Mary moved to Teulon, MB where they made their permanent home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, MB. Pallbearers will be John Guttormson, Brendan Schlamp, Les Gudmundson, Bill Fulford, Doug Fingland and Darrel Fingland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.

I wish I could have you back for one more game of old maid and to watch some cartoons. You were the most amazing grandpa, always so fun.
