JAMES (JIM) A. FENNING Peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2006, with his family by his side, Jim passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 76 years. Jim was born in Winnipeg, on June 5, 1930. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Nettie. He leaves to mourn his wife Shirley; sons Curtis and Craig; brother Gordon (Margaret) of Regina, as well as aunts and many cousins. Jim grew up in Beausejour, and left home to work in Regina, meeting his wife there. He left Regina for Winnipeg, and was eventually married on June 6, 1953 in Viceroy, SK. He worked for West Chemical for 32 years, then went on to work at Ducks Unlimited for 10 years, after which he retired at the age of 65. He enjoyed long walks, early mornings and golfing. His proudest golf moment was to break 70. The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Health Sciences Centre GA4 for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Cres. in Winnipeg. A private family interment will take place in Beausejour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or to CancerCare Manitoba, 109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
