FLORENCE MILDRED MACLEOD (nee ELLIS) September 19, 1909 - September 24, 2006 On September 24, 2006, Florence passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 97. Florence was predeceased by her husband Norman John; her son Gordon; grandchildren, Cam MacLeod, Gavin Brosi, Brucie McLeod and son-in-law Gerald Ellis. Florence will be remembered by her children, Malcom (Hazel), Norma Ellis, Katherine Pennell, Marnie (Walter) Longley, Dawn (Horst) Brosi, Ian (Joy), and Terry (Ron) Parkinson. She will also be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Florence was born and raised in Saskatchewan, she came to Winnipeg during the war and resided in Winnipeg and Ponemah. Florence was an active member in St. Thomas (Winnipeg) and St. Bartholomew (Winnipeg Beach) Anglican churches. Family was everything to Mum, she was a big part of our lives as we raised our families. We will miss her. In lieu of flowers, donation's may be made in Florence's memory to the ALS Society of Manitoba, 108-2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Let me grow lovely, growing old, So many old things do.
