Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD PAUL RECUNYK It is with deep sorrow, along with wonderful memories and the warmest of thoughts that the family announces the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and brother, Leonard Paul Recunyk. He left us too quickly on September 24, 2006. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Olga Recunyk; sister Janie Weaver; daughter Kimberly Sprong and brother Clifford Recunyk. Left to cherish his memory are his son Cory (Corinne) and their children, Seth, Laurissa and Dion; granddaughters, Destinee and Kaylee Sprong; sisters, Delanie Parks, Lynn Recunyk; brother Steven Recunyk; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends too numerous to name. Len was born in Riverton, MB on July 29, 1942. He attended school in Hodgson and Selkirk. In 1961, he married Diane Toews. Throughout their 27 years together, they had two children, Kim and Cory. Len worked for Globelight Batteries for a number of years, ventured into self-employment in the stucco/drywall profession, and later worked with the Boilermakers at various locations throughout Canada. He enjoyed hunting, collecting hats and spending time with friends and family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Leonard's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. A private family interment will take place prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Len's honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
