Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE MAY AGNES (DOLLY) FARTHING (BRYANT) It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of their dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice on Monday, September 26, 2006 at Eriksdale E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital. Alice was born on June 27, 1913 N.W. 7-18-3W, Coldwell, MB. She married Cecil Walter Farthing on November 20, 1935. Together they raised their six children, Norma, Rowan, Harold, George, Ray (Lois), Donald and Martha. The joys of Mom's life were her children, six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She had a special bond with her only sister Emma Waterman, her sister-in-law Margaret (Gus) Torgerson, family friend Hilda Lowen and her nieces and nephews. Alice faced many trials in her life, polio at a young age and strokes later in life, but she never let this deter her from doing the things she loved. She loved to cook, visit, travel, read and write letters to keep in touch with family and friends. Alice was always impeccably dressed, with her jewellery to match. Alice was very grateful that in the last years she was cared for by her family at home. She was predeceased by her husband Walter (1979), her son-in-law Tom Rowan and her brother-in-law Len Waterman. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Point Community Hall. Interment will take place in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Clarkleigh. Your memory is our keepsake With which we will never part God has you in his keeping We have you in our heart MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
